Obong University, Obong Ntak, Akwa-Ibom has announced the sales of her admission form for the 2015/2016 academic session admission. Interested and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply.

The authorities of the Obong University, Obong-Ntak, Akwa Ibom State have released the amount payable as school fees by the fresh and stale undergraduates of the institution for the 2015/2016 academic session.

Department of General Studies

The Department of General Studies co-ordinates the teaching of General Studies Courses. These courses are to sharpen the entrepreneurial and administrative skills of the student. The Unit provides courses in the humanities, entrepreneurship, science and social sciences.
Update:
The National Universities Commission, NUC has approved the establishment of five new programmes at Obong University. The five new programmes which is to be offered at the Bachelors level include; Public Administration, International Relations, Political Science, Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, and Sociology.


Obong University Admission Requirements.

  • Admission into the University is open to all qualified candidates irrespective of religion, ethnic group, gender, race/creed, disability or political inclination.
  • Admission into the University will be only through either the University Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
  • In order to be eligible for admission into the Obong University, all prospective students are expected to satisfy the following general requirements:
    1. For admission through 100 level (UTME), candidates must:
      * Possess five (5) credits at SSCE equivalent in relevant subjects at not more than 2 sittings;
      * Score acceptable points in the UTME in relevant subjects.
    2. For admission to 200 level (Direct Entry), candidates should (in addition to 5 SSCE credits passes as in (c) i above, obtain a minimum of two (2) A’ level (or its equivalent) passes in relevant subjects, or possess NCE, GCE A/Level, OND or HND with credit/merit passes, or possess a good first degree in a relevant field as the case may be.
  • Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics is compulsory for admission into all courses.
  • Candidates may be required to pass an internal screening test/interview in addition to passing the UTME.

How to Apply for Obong University post UTME.

Obong University post UTME form cost N6,000 (six thousand naira only). Follow the procedures outlined below to apply.
  • Fill out the online application form available at http://www.obonguniversity.net/NewStudents/Applications/ApplyForAdmission.aspx.
  • Pay application fee of N6,000.00 at any of the banks listed below.

  • Complete your application by filling out the Bank Payment section. You will be required to supply the name of the bank and payment voucher number.
  • Your application will be processed by the Registry and you will be contacted via e-mail about the status of your application.
  • If you have previously started your online application, click ‘Modify Application’ to edit your application.
  • Click ‘New Application’ to start a new application.
